C. E. "Doc" Toland

C. E. "Doc" Toland formerly was chairman/CEO of Affiliated Foods Southwest Inc. He built the company into one of the most progressive cooperative whole-sale food distributors in the nation. A chain of grocery stores and super-markets, it has outlets throughout the state and employs several thousand. Mr. Toland's work with youth also is well known. For years, AFI has been a major contributor to the Jr. Livestock Auction and at the State Fair. The company has bought the Grand Champion Steer almost annually since 1973-and has given several hundred thousand dollars for the education of FFA and 4-H youth who participate.
